It’s about time for reconciliation. The small business owner has been heard by the politicians and faith has prevailed in all angles and extremes.  In the old days, it was telephone banking then came the town hall meets and now there is a new age of technology using the internet as the model of communication.

From letter writing to emails then now to blogging and social networking through the years, our role now is promote “reconciliation”.  Gone are the days that we only had to express freedom on expression and write about complaints and sentiments, it is now about supporting the cause.  Just as any struggling no income, disabled individual today, all we have is the magic world of the internet and it’s vast technologies.    So it is very important to pat our officials on the back, thank our president of change for the message and our legislators for taking the steps to improve our lives.

For in the world of blogging for example, it is not merely driven by self-interest as we write and express our thoughts, our minds and with what is on our spirit.  Christian or not, the action between faith and love must prevail in helping heal the wounds that the global world needs.  And by engaging with this message, we are creating the bottom line of the hard times so we can move on now towards global prosperity.

Yes, there is a dileanation between church and the system but as small entrepreneurs we can still make that connection.  Yes, we can, we will prevail and then a miracle towards the healing of the markets will begin.  As a small nobody affected by this crisis, I call on the investing community that the battle is over.  Now is the time to heal, be together and inspire each other for the change we need.

The Economics of being an emerging online business model

It started back in 1999’s stock market collapse, the rise of the dot.com empire’s and yet we were nobodies.

Came 2001 right after 9/11 then 2004 when two major online business empires almost ruled the world online to include advertising.

Enter 2006, good riddance to more pro-small business models like Google,  Yahoo, Windows, Live.com,  My-space and Facebook including our book notables like Abebooks, Alibris.com, Biblion.co.uk, Choosebooks, Valorebooks, A1 books, Tom Folio.com  and the ABA (American Booksellers Association) when venture capitalists in Silicon Valley where the king of the jungles influenced by the big shot major online players.

Yet, 2007 came start of the great recession after 1931 and a gradual change in the socio-political climate of the world in terms of technology and business.  Fall of 2008 made history having the 1st online high tech 44th President of the United States, a darling of the poor, a new robin hood in technological times and realization that even micro enterprise start-ups have the potential to someday experience the lives the king’s and emperors of silicon valley.

Today, 2009 brings a new generation of emerging online business models ala the dot.com period where emerging start-ups which was snob by venture capitalists before came to rule the world.

As we had continously emphasize our mission of affordability to the limited income earners, our social networks, and the people who have the kind generous hearts of supporting us at http://www.affordable-booksonline.com all we can say is a big hug of thank you’s.  Be it in terms of search engine rankings with Google’s book partner programs, yahoo’s small business team or Amazon’s virtual generosities, to you all we say thank you so much for being there during this phase as we shall forever remember all this good gestures.

Sometimes,  people are still asking me if the sign of the times are real or are they just experiencing a sudden dream or

nightmare.   Unfortunately, all I can say is yes this is what is the reality is going on.     Even in major cities, businesses

are closing their doors from left to right.      Either it be a gasoline station, car washing, boutique, even food chains and

discount store chains that a month ago was still bustling with people and customers.   Suddenly, they seemed to be  closed,

abandoned, and some at least have signs saying they are closed for business.    This is why people seem to be on a deep

paranoia if this was real.    At least, there are good signs though when the businesses with loyal customers based and those

online brick and stores brands and independents are able to hang on. This means persistence, stability and survival of

the fittest.      Only days after the new hardworking 44th President of the United States which is the first high tech pres. has

been working almost night and day.     As he said it will get worst then better which is the best way to face the reality of

 what has happen with the US Economy and now that the UK has finally admitted to be on the bandwagon of recession.    This 

is the time that we have to be solid and compassionate towards each other.  And when hope for the best of the outcome as

a nation yes we can.

Pardon me, did they say finally recession is here or depression.  Oh, excuse me it was just to make a money correction on the economy, one year ago in 2007.   Wasn’t this the motto last year saying everything is sound.  An economy is not a political or show business blitz as it affects people lives.  Then a year later where are the same prophets saying everything is cool.

Wake up, wake up wizards, perhaps you might not been taught about Economy 101 in your pretigious business schools then I suggest that why don’t you ask your local struggling small business owner we are always the victims anyways.

What America learned about economics and politics in the last eight years?

 

Fighting for freedom and terror are prime ingredients in a democracy. Yet economic survival is a vital part of our existence.  So as we go through one of the greatest depressions in history and we look back in the events it will be hard to judge and pre-judge what went wrong.

 

Yet, some of the facts are very clear that we need to stop spending a $1 Million dollars a day (if the gossips are right) over a war, stop the political games of who to elect, why not to elect them and get the blaming syndrome every single day on the air waves.

 

Sometimes, it is really intriguing that with all the smartness of the experts how can a mere recession not be predicted and correctly theoretically evaluated.

 

It is a lot of hard work to master the economic indicators but yet acceptance may have been a big scenario on how we got to this mess.  While we take a step back and rethink the best alternatives to fix what needs to be fix and can perhaps learned from our past mistakes,.

 

What about foreign relations and diplomacy?  Was this ever an option we should have thought before we went to war?   Should we be looking for a commander in chief that has the guts to make huge “changes” for a new direction, someone who believes in foreign policy or someone who has the political experience and clout. All these questions are big discussion points right now but we have to consider each and every aspect as otherwise we are going back to square one again.

 

This no longer about either which party should be running Pennsylvania Avenue but who has the right leadership that will take America out of this mess.  Both of the adjectives used like “change and experience” are necessary to battle through what America has finally learned from the economics and politics in the last eight years. 

 

The case today is like a bankruptcy receivership. The next president gets to deal with it, act fast and simultaneous, be very firm and decisive not to mention extremely open to ideas and criticisms.  On top of these are issues on housing, universal health care, social security and Medicare, and rising unemployment.  All caught in the magnitude of economic turmoil, credit crisis, foreclosures, bankruptcies and government bail outs.

Why do Entrepreneurs take risk to accomplish their dreams?

If you asked some entrepreneurs today, they would readily tell you that they were born as an entrepreneur and not just made one.

The way of entrepreneurship can sometimes start at a very early age in life.  Such characteristics are genetically inherent in the basic culture and foundation of an individual’s personality.

Over the years, my own experiences as being independent and having my own small business endeavors have been always my passion and the key to my own personal success, fulfillment and happiness.

Have tried working full time and part time questioning if entrepreneurship is the real way to go for my life’s purpose.

In spite the odds, trial and errors, with ot without mentors it always boils down to having that independence of working for myself and accomplishing ideals for the betterment of my family and community.

Recently,  because of the challenging times in our economic crisis, people will say that having mutliple streams of income is perhaps the way to survive.  However, we must always acknowledge what goes on in our personal lives, family, relationships and health.

Sometimes,  having other challenges might not be as easy as some might think as the key is not to lost focus on your primary niche or business idea.   It might not make sense right now but when you have studied it over and over through the years, we just have to stick to what we believe will work for us.

Money is a consequence need to stay in business but also does not drive the entrepreneur in achieving his or her dream alone.    The problem with our society is that we use entrepreneurism to inform and educate so that it can help create jobs, booze the economy, give credibility to government and at the same time be a business money making venture in itself for us.

We need to realize that our goals will be really successful if there is a continuity in our efforts. We might be able to teach the best business classes, show entrepreneurs how to make creative plans but how many in the end do really make it and how many fail after all the time we have spent in helping educate emergeing entrepreneurs?

These days, it is such hard to find an entrepreneur that will be ready to lost everything he has in order for his business to succeeed.   This spirit is the ultimate key to great leadership that we have to look for.  This people go into their dream businesses to achieve greater things not just for them but also for the community and society.

The challenge is how do we really support such individuals?  Perhaps, they might just need a certian ingredient, financial liquidity, support and reinforcements so they can really achieve their dreams.

Today’s entrepreneurial environment has change. It is no longer about having a high credit rating, collateral or financial capabilities, it is more about perseverance, the dare to risk everything and focusing to succeed in their dream.

California’s Day in Equality Liberation History – May 15, 2008

The California Supreme Court recently received an outstanding ovation from the GLBT community citing their “EQUALITY” efforts as a court of the people.

For some, it was a very emotional day celebrating the end of unequality on a democratic yet liberal state in America’s land of the people anthology.

A battle of argumentative deliberations still faces the allowing of same sex marriage in such a conservative state.  Yet, let us not forget to respect as well the beliefs of other people as how holy the embodiment of marriage is between a man and a woman.

However, to my minute understanding, this is besides the point. It is about the socio-cultural evolution of what makes a person’s existence to co-exist which is why we have been created in God’s liking and love.

Long live the dream, hopefully not a political tool but yet what this battle is all about.

May God Bless America, land of the people, a nation where dreams comes to realities.
