In the Heights: Finding Home

The eagerly awaited follow-up to the #1 New York Times bestseller Hamilton: The Revolution, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s new book gives readers an extraordinary inside look at In the Heights, his breakout Broadway debut, written with Quiara Alegría Hudes, soon to be a Hollywood blockbuster.

In 2008, In the Heights, a new musical from up-and-coming young artists, electrified Broadway. The show’s vibrant mix of Latin music and hip-hop captured life in Washington Heights, the Latino neighborhood in upper Manhattan. It won four Tony Awards and became an international hit, delighting audiences around the world. For the film version, director Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians) brought the story home, filming its spectacular dance numbers on location in Washington Heights. That’s where Usnavi, Nina, and their neighbors chase their dreams and ask a universal question: Where do I belong?

In the Heights: Finding Home reunites Miranda with Jeremy McCarter, co-author of Hamilton: The Revolution, and Quiara Alegría Hudes, the Pulitzer Prize–winning librettist of the Broadway musical and screenwriter of the film. They do more than trace the making of an unlikely Broadway smash and a major motion picture: They give readers an intimate look at the decades-long creative life of In the Heights.

Like Hamilton: The Revolution, the book offers untold stories, perceptive essays, and the lyrics to Miranda’s songs—complete with his funny, heartfelt annotations. It also features newly commissioned portraits and never-before-seen photos from backstage, the movie set, and productions around the world.

This is the story of characters who search for a home—and the artists who created one.

Positive Customer Impact

Many customers have already benefited from deploying Affordable Books for https://www.adleinternational.co in 2016 followed by Usedbooksworld in 2017. Both of these two apps are now also available in the Android Google Play Store.

“Alex continued in stressing that our apps are very generic and not sophisticated looking. The idea is ease of use in the eyes, basic navigation and simple one to two clicks, in addition, the simplicity extends our primary purpose of affordability and accessibility even to limited earners. After all these free apps are intended to shop our vast collection of books as we are not selling the apps.”

Founded in 1999, ADLE International was founded by Alex Esguerra in Portland, OR right after his tenure as APEC Youth Representative. The company vision continues his philanthropy initiatives for the youth, and people living from paycheck to paycheck. By sourcing and offering Affordable Books that are new books to very rare books with affordable competitive prices, book lovers, students, disabled, seniors and low-income earners can buy them with their limited resources.

In May 2018. The company started to offer through it’s branded websites free standard shipping in the United States if customers orders at least US$15.00. On top of our best quality for brand new books, we have been upgrading our regular standard shipments to expedited or using UPS as incentive. We have also started to create more and more discount deals for our newsletter subscribers as well as customers who opt in our mailing list and accept marketing while at the same time we have been tedious in compliance with the GDPR EU privacy law, says Carlos Rodiriguez, Director of Sales.

ADLE International although known as a rare, out of print, hard to find bookseller has also gotten a big market share in selling new release books. Sarah Walker, Director of Retail in the company’s main office in Portland, OR clarified on the company’s partnership sites with Etsy.com through https://www.affordablebookfinds.com and https://www.affordablethings.net

The 2 websites have a lot of brand new books, but they are rare, out of print and vintage books as we have books dating back from the beginning of the 19th century until 1998. She explains that this is also Etsy’s timeline in the vintage category but a lot of today’s buyers in this category still has the idea that vintage books are all “Used” which we are not. Though we have of course used books in these websites, we carry a lot of brand new books, so the main key is really reading our listings for the words, “New Books or Used Books” etc.

https://www.affordablebookdeals.com is our main website that highlights our mission of education on health, fitness, arts, crafts, culture and good healthy eating habits. A big majority of this site focuses on cooking vegan, keto, gluten, diabetes diets, medical discoveries, sewing, potteries, travel, culture with a touch or art and political science.

https://www.usedbooksworld.com on the other hand focuses on students, educators, children and lifestyle. As the title says, we have a varied collection of used antiquarian, rare used books, heavy on textbooks and study aids to Adult, Young Adult and Juvenile Fiction books.

https://www.adleintl.com which was recently launched this year as well is our Indie Books site partnered with the American Booksellers Assn, https://www.bookweb.org where we have searchable database of all brand-new books of 10 million titles that customers can shop from.

https://www.adleinternational.com which is our main site is where the rare, out of print to new just release books can be shop from. This site is heavy on history and politics which is a conduit of our founder’s blogs, books and advocacy on political issues and current events/issues. It also embodies what we offer from our Etsy partnered sites except the books we have on the site are now from 1998 to the present year and month. We have also a section dedicated on mechanical engineering, automobiles and craftsmanship which was envisioned by our 90-year patriarch, our founders’ father.

From this writing, the website had already started a Father’s Day Discount deal where if customers bought two books from the selected Father’s Day book collection, they will get 30% off and get them ship free in the USA.

Usedbooksworld’s Mobile App Goes Live Today

Usedbooksworld by ADLE International made the announcement at 12:01 AM today that it’s well awaited mobile app is now live at the Apple Itunes Store.

With the vision of specializing on rare, out of print, hard to find new and used books affordable even to limited earners, Usedbooksworld is the second mobile app in the last 30 days released by the ADLE International group.

“Our hope is to have a simple, user friendly, clean mobile app especially for our limited earners like people with disabilities, seniors and the young teens” quoted from it’s founder, Former APEC Youth Representative, Alex Esguerra.

Carlos Rodiriguez, ADLE International’s Director of Sales says that this app is just second on the series of apps they will be releasing. The next app on the works is for Affordable Book Deals  in time for the mobile friendly version of the company’s original flagship site, Affordable Books On Line

This year the company has growth phenomenally and finally getting the recognition in becoming a one stop shop for excellent book deals, fast delivery and finding books one cannot find elsewhere.

Our hope is that more and more consumers buy using our mobile apps and the apps of independent online booksellers in response to the big marketplaces controlling pricing, quality and domination when it comes to bookselling. We will continue to work hand in hand with other independent online booksellers and be an advocate together with the American Booksellers Association. We look forward on the success of the upcoming Book Expo 2017 at Jacob Javits at the end of May, Carlos continued.

For now, we are all excited in this 2nd app release and many thanks for our ever loyal customers.
