Tayari Jones on her Bestseller “An American Marriage” is still no. 1 on the Bestseller list.
7 days after her book was release, bookshelves all over run out of copies. We are ourselves had to back order from the publisher when we even thought we over bought and over stocked prior to the books street date.
I remember that week before Thanksgiving receiving a call from Frankfurt. Our founder who nowadays leave the day to day operations to us called to say that we really need to stack up with Tayari Jones upcoming book release. His usual flair on envisioning a really hot book title I guess still is one of the most accurate we can find from a book critic.
Oprah’s big book club endorsement also did a lot of push but the bottom line “An American Marriage” is a such a great compelling book. Tayari now becomes a part of the history books of writing.
Our display window usually gets visually merchandise each week but this book is left untouched at least for now.
